Proper Storage Procedures
Lab procedures for receiving, logging, storing and tracking research peptide inventory at 2–8°C and -20°C.
Receiving inspection
On arrival, confirm the package is cold, the seal is intact, and the vial label batch code matches the dispatch note. Photograph anything anomalous before opening.
Logging inventory
Record: compound, batch code, supplier, receipt date, vial mass, storage location, opened date once reconstituted. Tie the entry to its COA PDF in your LIMS or shared drive.
Stock rotation
FIFO. Use older lyophilised stock first within its stability window, and reconstitute only as needed.
