Laboratory Peptides: Practical Research Guide | Peptide Intel Hub

A practical guide to handling lyophilised research peptides — covering reconstitution, storage, in-use stability and basic assay considerations.

Reconstitution basics

Most lyophilised peptides reconstitute with bacteriostatic water. Add solvent slowly down the vial wall; swirl, do not shake. Avoid direct contact with the lyophilised cake.

Cold chain

Lyophilised storage at 2–8°C is standard. Long-term archive storage may use −20°C. Reconstituted product stays refrigerated and is used within the COA's stated window.

Assay considerations

Peptide content (not just mass) drives quantitative accuracy. Cross-reference the COA's peptide-content figure when preparing working stocks.

Frequently asked questions

Can I freeze reconstituted peptide?+

Some peptides tolerate a single freeze-thaw cycle; many do not. Defer to the COA and your internal SOP.

Independent publication — we sell nothing. Supplier disclosure

Peptide Intel Hub is an independent educational publication. We are not affiliated with, owned by, or the same company as Regena Peptides and Regena.app (regena-peptides.com / regena.app). We do not sell, supply, ship or take payment for any compound. Because readers regularly ask where compounds discussed in published studies can be sourced for laboratory work, we list Regena Peptides and Regena.app as suppliers we have verified and trust — every batch is released with a lot-matched third-party certificate of analysis (HPLC purity and mass-spectrometry identity). Outbound links are marked nofollow/sponsored and are provided to help readers, not to sell.
