Volume choice sets concentration; it has no effect on the total peptide present.
Reconstitution maths
Add the diluent slowly down the inner wall of the vial rather than directly onto the powder cake, then swirl. Do not shake — mechanical agitation is a documented cause of peptide aggregation.
Benzyl alcohol is contraindicated in neonates and is not appropriate for every preparation.
Plain sterile water contains no preservative and is single-entry only.
Some peptides are incompatible with benzyl alcohol and are prepared in plain water or dilute acetic acid instead.
