Tesamorelin + Ipamorelin: literature-reported ranges

This blend pairs the GHRH analogue with the largest randomised dataset in its class with the most selective secretagogue in its class. As with every blend on this site, the combination itself has no published controlled study; only the two constituents do.

Every figure on this page is a range reported in published literature or in a publicly documented study protocol. It is a record of what researchers used, not a recommendation, a therapeutic protocol, or advice. Peptide Intel Hub is an independent publication, sells nothing, and describes these compounds as in-vitro research reagents only.

What the published studies reported

Each row below describes one body of work. The model and population are part of the figure — a rodent per-kilogram quantity and a human trial quantity are not comparable.

Tesamorelin constituent — phase 3 figure

Reported quantity
2 mg
Frequency
Once daily
Study duration
26–52 weeks

This figure comes from CT-endpoint visceral adipose trials in a defined clinical population.

Ipamorelin constituent — human phase 2 figure

Reported quantity
0.03 mg/kg per administration
Frequency
Twice daily in the trial arms
Study duration
Up to 7 days

The ipamorelin human record is short-duration post-operative work, not long-term.

Dosage chart

These figures match the published chart for this compound on peptidedosages.com, including the reconstitution volume, resulting concentration, insulin-syringe units and the staged schedule. Educational reference only — not instructions, and not medical advice.

Tesamorelin · 10 mg Vial

Tesamorelin is dosed at 1 mg–2 mg daily by subcutaneous injection in educational protocols, typically at night. A 10 mg vial reconstituted with bacteriostatic water yields about 3.33 mg/mL. This information is for research and educational use only.

Reconstitute
Add 3.0 mL bacteriostatic water per 10 mg vial → ~3.33 mg/mL concentration.
Standard daily dose
2 mg (2000 mcg) once daily subcutaneously (FDA-approved protocol).
Easy measuring
At 3.33 mg/mL, 1 unit = 0.01 mL ≈ 33.3 mcg on a U-100 insulin syringe.
Storage
Lyophilized: refrigerate at 2–8 °C (35.6–46.4 °F); reconstituted: refrigerate and use within 7 days with bacteriostatic water.

Standard FDA-Approved Protocol (3.0 mL = ~3.33 mg/mL)

WeekDaily Dose (mg / mcg)Units (per injection) (mL)
Week 11 mg / 1000 mcg30 units (0.30 mL)
Weeks 2–12+2 mg / 2000 mcg60 units (0.60 mL)

Ipamorelin · 10 mg Vial

Ipamorelin is dosed at 100 mcg–250 mcg daily via subcutaneous injection in educational protocols. A 10 mg vial reconstituted with bacteriostatic water yields about 3.33 mg/mL. This information is for research and educational use only.

Reconstitute
Add 3.0 mL bacteriostatic water → ~ 3.33 mg/mL concentration.
Typical daily range
100–300 mcg once daily (gradual titration recommended).
Easy measuring
At 3.33 mg/mL, 1 unit = 0.01 mL ≈ 33 mcg on a U-100 insulin syringe.
Storage
Lyophilized: 2–8 °C (35.6–46.4 °F) or freeze at −20 °C (−4 °F); after reconstitution, refrigerate at 2–8 °C (35.6–46.4 °F) and use within ~4 weeks.

Standard / Gradual Approach (3.0 mL = ~3.33 mg/mL)

WeekDaily Dose (mcg)Units (per injection) (mL)
Weeks 1–2100 mcg3 units (0.03 mL)
Weeks 3–4150 mcg5 units (0.05 mL)
Weeks 5–8200 mcg6 units (0.06 mL)
Weeks 9–12250 mcg8 units (0.08 mL)

Reconstitution maths

Blends are commonly presented as a combined 10 mg or 12 mg vial. In 2 mL that is 5–6 mg/mL of total peptide; the useful figure is per-peptide, from the certificate.

How to read these figures

  • Trial durations of the two constituents differ by an order of magnitude — the blend inherits neither dataset.
  • Stability differs between the two peptides in solution, which is a real argument against premixed vials.
  • Glucose-metabolism monitoring featured in the tesamorelin trials and is part of reading that dataset honestly.
